Brought my mum, my sister and all three kids — and for once, everyone found something they loved. The Full English was spot on, the kids' pasta went down a treat, and mum couldn't stop talking about her chai. Café Chico is the only place in Bolton that works for all three generations of us.

The American Special is god-tier. Three buttermilk pancakes, scrambled eggs, crispy lamb macon and real maple syrup — it's the kind of plate you stop halfway through to take a photo of. We've been coming back every other Saturday for nearly a year. No notes.

I'd never been to Bolton before — a friend at work said "you have to try the Full English at Chico's, it's the real thing." They were right. Proper sausages, proper beans, hash browns that actually taste of potato. Friendly staff, warm room, the lot.

As a Muslim family, we have to trust a kitchen before we can relax and enjoy a meal. Café Chico is fully halal, the staff are gracious about explaining ingredients, and my elderly parents feel completely at home here. That trust is rare — and it's why we come back every week.

We hired the party room for my son's 8th birthday. Aaliyah and the team set up balloons, sorted the food, kept the kids happy — and the parents got a proper lunch too. The price was fair and the room was spotless. He'll remember it for years. Thank you Chico.

Ordered through Deliveroo on a busy Tuesday and expected the usual sad delivery box. Not here — portions were generous, packaging was tight (no leaks), and the food still arrived warm. The French Toast with Nutella and fresh berries was a treat. Will be a regular order.

The 4.9 rating is well earned. I've eaten here four times over the last two months — once for breakfast, twice for brunch, once for the platters. Every visit, the food has been fresh, the coffee hot, and the atmosphere warm. That's consistency, and it's why we trust it.

For £8.95 the Full English is honestly a steal — proper plate, fills you up until late afternoon, and the sausage is clearly butcher-quality. Bolton's cost of living is rough right now; a place that still feeds you well at this price deserves the five stars.
